Michael White, better known as trap star Trippie Redd, was arrested Thursday afternoon at Miami International Airport just before boarding his flight to Europe. The 26-year-old Ohio native, who currently resides in Southwest Ranches, was detained due to a 2023 outstanding warrant connected to an invalid driver’s license case, according to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies took White into custody at 4:50 p.m. near Gate 17 in Terminal J, after U.S. Customs and Border Protection flagged the active Miami-Dade County bench warrant. White had planned to board flight LH1378 to France.
Interestingly, Trippie Redd was scheduled to perform at Les Ardentes, a music festival in Belgium, this Saturday.
On social media, the rapper’s most recent Instagram reel shows him alongside Jamaican DJ Vybz Kartel outside Terminal J at Miami International Airport.
Following his arrest, White was booked at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and released on a $150 bond.
