PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A significant drug bust took place in Parkersburg on May 20, 2025, as law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence on 1708 Staunton Avenue.
The operation was the result of a narcotics investigation led by the Parkersburg Police Department and the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force. Authorities targeted the home of Trina Abbott, believed to be involved in drug distribution activities. Abbott was not present at the time of the search.
Inside the residence, officers discovered multiple signs of illegal drug activity:
Suspected fentanyl was located in the bathroom and on the back porch.
Methamphetamine was found in what was identified as the defendant’s bedroom.
Digital scales—commonly used in drug distribution—were recovered from the living room and from inside a purse belonging to Abbott, which also contained her ID and credit cards.
Hypodermic syringes and burnt foil were located in several rooms, both associated with drug use.
During the raid, a man from Akron, Ohio, was arrested after being found in the bathroom with a large amount of cash. He now faces charges for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
Officers also interviewed several people living at the residence, who claimed to be paying Abbott rent.
Further evidence, including a detailed drug ledger listing prices and quantities, was found in Abbott’s purse, strengthening the case against her.
Trina Abbott was arrested and charged with maintaining a dwelling for drug use or distribution.
