SUPPLY, N.C. — A Supply man is facing a serious felony charge following a shooting Monday night, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).

Deputies responded to a residence on Civietown Road around 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 29, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities said the victim was taken to a nearby medical facility and is listed in stable condition.

Investigators said 24-year-old Trevor Joe Freeman left the scene before deputies arrived. Through investigative work and assistance from the community, detectives were able to locate and arrest Freeman without incident.

Freeman has been charged with attempted first-degree murder. He appeared in Brunswick County court on Dec. 31, where a public defender was appointed. Officials said he remains in custody without bond.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
