The suspect, 25-year-old Tremere K. Marks Jr., was spotted around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of W. Harper Terrace and W. Hamilton Place. Police received reports that Marks was checking car door handles in the area.

As officers arrived on the scene, Marks immediately ran on foot, sparking a short chase. Authorities used a Peoria Police Department drone to track his movements, leading to his eventual capture.
