CONWAY, Ark. (KATV) — A Conway man, identified as 44-year-old Travis Jones, has been arrested following a series of property thefts spanning several Arkansas counties.
The investigation began on April 30, 2025, when the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) reported three high-value thefts in the northern part of the county. The stolen items included a 16-foot utility trailer, a side-by-side utility vehicle, and two zero-turn lawn mowers—with a total value exceeding $30,000.
The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division (ASP CID) joined the investigation and quickly identified Jones as a suspect by May 2. Authorities said he was seen driving a black 2008 Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup truck, registered to him, which was tied to the utility trailer theft and other subsequent thefts.
On May 9, investigators located the vehicle and the stolen utility vehicle at Jones’ residence in Conway. Days later, on May 12, ASP CID agents and Conway Police executed a search warrant at the residence on the 4000 block of Prince Street. During the search, authorities recovered the stolen side-by-side utility vehicle, the pickup truck used in the crimes, and a dump trailer reported stolen within Conway city limits.
Jones was taken into custody and booked into the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office, facing multiple charges, including:
Felony theft of property
Theft by receiving
Commercial burglary
Authorities stated that the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may follow.
