Monroe County, OH – A man from Coshocton, Ohio, has been arrested following an investigation into a significant bank fraud case.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a local resident reporting unauthorized withdrawals from their bank account. Detectives traced the stolen funds to Travis J. Ward.
Monroe County detectives collaborated with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, which led to a search warrant executed at Ward’s residence in Coshocton County. During the search, Ward admitted his involvement in the scam.
Ward was taken into custody and initially booked into the Coshocton County Jail before being transferred to the Monroe County Jail.
Sheriff Derek Normal of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office emphasized, “While this arrest represents only a portion of the broader scam, we remain committed to aggressively pursuing anyone who defrauds residents of our county.”
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover additional details.
