Travis Hixon Jr. Convicted of Drug Trafficking in Fort Myers

Man found with nearly $1M cash and multiple narcotics

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Fort Myers man was convicted of multiple drug trafficking charges on Thursday, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

In September 2024, the Fort Myers Police Department’s Vice/Narcotics Unit and SWAT team executed a search warrant at the home of Travis Lomar Hixon Jr., 44. Officers used a robot to enter the residence and make contact with Hixon, who was arrested on the spot.

Investigators found a large quantity of drugs and cash in the home. Nearly $1,000,000 in cash was recovered, with approximately $390,000 hidden inside the box spring of his bed. The box spring also contained individually packaged baggies of drugs, including:

683.1 grams of fentanyl

176.7 grams of crack cocaine

23.8 grams of methamphetamine

5.5 grams of oxycodone/acetaminophen

In the kitchen, detectives found additional methamphetamine in a plastic bag and cocaine residue in pots. Surveillance also revealed Hixon conducting drug transactions at gas stations across Lee County.

Hixon was found guilty of:

Trafficking in fentanyl (14 grams or more)

Trafficking in amphetamine (14 grams or more)

Possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance

Use or possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use

Obstruction of service or execution of a search warrant

Maintaining a location for trafficking, sale, or manufacturing of controlled substances

Hixon’s sentencing is scheduled for March 9.
