PERRYMAN, MD — A Dundalk man is facing multiple gun and drug charges following a road rage incident earlier this month on the Baltimore Beltway, authorities say.
Travis Dontray Thomas, 26, was arrested on June 5 in Harford County, one day after he allegedly brandished a firearm at another motorist during a confrontation near I-695 and I-95.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. on June 4, when a driver reported that a man in another vehicle pointed a silver handgun at them and their passenger. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Maryland State Police launched an investigation through their Highway Gun Crimes Initiative and identified Thomas as the suspect.
He was arrested at his Harford County workplace, where troopers executed a search warrant and reportedly recovered a loaded handgun and suspected cocaine packaged for distribution.
A subsequent search of Thomas’ Dundalk residence uncovered two additional firearms and more suspected cocaine, police said.
Thomas now faces a long list of charges in both Baltimore and Harford counties, including:
Two counts of felony assault
Two counts of misdemeanor assault
Use of a firearm during a felony crime
Possession of a loaded handgun in a vehicle
Possession of a firearm in connection with drug trafficking
The Maryland State Police emphasized their ongoing efforts to combat gun violence and drug-related offenses on state roadways.
