Tram Nguyen Faces New Drug Trafficking Charges in Florida

Already jailed, Nguyen hit with 3 more narcotics charges

ORLANDO, FL — A Palm Coast woman already in custody on drug charges is facing three additional felony counts following a continued investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives served new arrest warrants this week on Tram Nguyen, 37, who has been held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility since May 27, when deputies found narcotics during a traffic stop.

The latest charges include:

Trafficking in methamphetamine

Sale of methamphetamine and cocaine within 1,000 feet of a place of worship

Unlawful use of a two-way communications device

Nguyen now faces a total of nine charges and remains in custody on $337,500 bond.

Authorities have not disclosed the exact locations tied to the alleged undercover drug buys or how long Nguyen had been involved in trafficking activities. Investigators have not confirmed whether additional arrests are expected.

Background:

Nguyen’s legal troubles began in May, after deputies stopped her vehicle and reportedly discovered narcotics. That arrest triggered a deeper probe by the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit, which linked her to a series of undercover narcotics transactions earlier this year.

Sheriff’s Statement:

Sheriff Rick Staly commended his investigative team and condemned Nguyen’s alleged role in drug distribution.

“This poison peddler has already been in jail for the last few months, and now she is facing even more charges that will keep this poison peddler off the street,” Staly said.

The investigation remains active.
