SIHANOUKVILLE, Cambodia — One suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of approximately 140 iPhones from the Golden Casino in Preah Sihanouk City, according to Cambodian authorities.
The Provincial Police Headquarters reported that the theft occurred on May 23 and May 27, 2025, at the Golden Casino Company in Sangkat No. 1. A total of 120 iPhone 8s and 20 iPhone Xs were stolen by a group of four unidentified suspects.
Following a complaint filed by the company with the Sangkat 1 Administrative Police Station, a joint investigation with the Sihanoukville Police Inspectorate led to the arrest of a suspect named Touch Run on May 28 at 7:30 p.m.
According to police, Touch Run confessed to participating in the theft. He admitted to receiving 180,000 riel from a man identified only as “Tahok,” who allegedly instructed him to stay silent about the incident.
Authorities say they are continuing the search for the remaining suspects. The case has now been forwarded to the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court for legal proceedings.
