KYLE, Texas – A routine traffic stop in Kyle led to the arrest of three individuals found in possession of stolen mail, fake credit cards, and burglary tools, according to local police.
In the early hours of September 3, Kyle police pulled over a vehicle with expired registration. The driver initially provided a false name but was later identified as Torie Salitrero, 30, of San Antonio. Authorities confirmed Salitrero had active fraud warrants in New Braunfels.
Inside the vehicle, officers discovered eight fraudulent credit cards bearing different names, a crowbar, and a duffle bag containing mail stolen from 37 different addresses. The two passengers — Francisco Espinoza, 33, and Emmilio Camacho, 35, also from San Antonio — were detained along with Salitrero.
All three suspects were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and theft of mail. Salitrero faces additional charges, including:
Possession of a controlled substance
Fraudulent possession and use of credit cards
Failure to identify as a fugitive
And the outstanding warrant from New Braunfels
The Kyle Police Department is continuing its investigation and is working with other agencies to determine the scope of the mail theft.
