A Topeka woman, Jessica R. Bennett, 38, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 22, on felony charges following an investigation into theft and forgery. The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, with assistance from the Topeka Police Department, apprehended Bennett after discovering she was involved in the theft of checks.
Bennett was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on charges of forgery and theft by deception. The investigation into the case is ongoing as authorities work to uncover additional details
