CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A Charlotte man is facing multiple felony charges after police recovered more than $15,000 in stolen property during a search operation.
On Thursday, July 10, Cornelius Police executed a search warrant at an apartment on Prospect Drive, where they discovered a stolen vehicle, a loaded firearm, and various stolen items.
Tony Williams, 34, was arrested on the scene. He is charged with:
Five counts of felony larceny
Felony organized retail theft exceeding $100,000
Felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
The arrest was part of a larger initiative known as Operation Every Rose Has Its Thorn, targeting high-value organized theft and repeat offenders.
Williams had outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest. The investigation remains ongoing.
