MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. — A McCracken County man is behind bars following a domestic assault incident. On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at approximately 10:45 a.m., deputies responded to Baptist Hospital after a report of a verbal disturbance. Paducah Police also responded to the initial 911 call.
While investigating at the hospital, deputies learned that a domestic assault had occurred at a residence on Geibe Road. The victim, who sought treatment at the hospital, reported that the previous evening her husband, Tony Masing, attempted to assault her with a frying pan. She further stated that Masing submerged her head underwater for an extended period, preventing her from breathing.
Deputies arrested 68-year-old Masing and transported him to the McCracken County Jail.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Paducah Police Department and Baptist Hospital Security during the investigation.
