Tommy Robinson, the far-right activist whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following an incident at St Pancras railway station in London.

British Transport Police confirmed the arrest of a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire in connection with the assault that took place on July 28. Although they did not name Robinson initially, details and video evidence pointed to him.

The arrest occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. BST on Monday at Luton Airport after the man was reported to have arrived on a flight from Faro, following the incident and his subsequent departure for Tenerife in the early hours of July 29.

Police said the victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was later discharged from hospital.

Video footage circulating on social media showed Robinson near a man lying motionless on the floor by the stairs to the northbound Thameslink line at the station. The clip did not show the cause of the man’s fall but featured Robinson walking back and forth and attempting to speak with a passerby who called for help.

Robinson was heard saying, “He’s come at me bruv.” After the incident, when a female BBC reporter sought comment, Robinson responded with a dismissive message.

Robinson has since continued to post on his personal X account but has not publicly addressed the arrest, though he shared supportive posts after the police’s initial statement.

The investigation remains ongoing as Robinson remains in police custody for questioning.
