HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) – Two men have been arrested for their alleged roles in a mail theft and credit card fraud ring operating throughout Harris County.

Tom Corella and Antonio Andrade were taken into custody on June 27 after Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped their vehicle on Jones Road in Houston.

Investigators reported that the suspects were found with more than 500 stolen mail items, 38 credit and debit cards valued at over $50,000, a stolen check, and several documents containing victims’ personal information. Authorities also discovered counterfeit USPS keys, tools to produce fake keys, a significant amount of cash, and receipts matching the use of the stolen cards.

According to law enforcement, Corella and Andrade were part of a larger mail theft ring involved in financial crimes such as identity theft, forgery, retail fraud, and money laundering.

Both men were booked into the Harris County Jail and face charges including mail theft and unlawful possession and manufacture of criminal instruments. Investigators said the case is ongoing and more charges may follow as the probe continues.
