Two men have been sentenced following their arrest in Northwich for drug-related offenses.
Todd Davies, 39, of Sixacre Gardens, Warrington, and David Williams, 40, of The Avenue, West Felton, near Oswestry, appeared at Chester Crown Court on April 3 after pleading guilty to several drug charges.
Davies received a sentence of four years and two months in prison after admitting to two counts of being involved in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine), possession with intent to supply heroin, possession of criminal property, and possession of a knife in a public place.
Williams was sentenced to 20 months, suspended for 18 months, after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine. He was also ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
The court heard that on August 11, 2022, the two men were spotted acting suspiciously in a Range Rover on Albemarle Avenue, Hartford. After following the car, officers stopped the vehicle on Beaufort Close, where Davies was driving and Williams was in the passenger seat. Davies initially provided false details, prompting officers to search the vehicle.
The search uncovered 4.76 grams of heroin, more than £2,300 in cash, and a knife hidden in the glovebox. Both men were arrested, and two mobile phones were seized. Analysis of the phones revealed messages linking Davies and Williams to drug dealing, with the pair boasting about taking over the cocaine trade in Northwich.
The evidence was presented to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorized charges against the men.
