MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) — A suspect is in custody following a stabbing incident on Wednesday morning, the Montgomery Police Department confirmed.
19-year-old T’lawrence Russell has been charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, and first-degree theft of property.
The stabbing occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of Hayneville Road. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. Officials have not provided an update on the victim’s condition as of Friday.
Russell is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility pending further proceedings.
