by Ananya Mehta

Tirupati witnessed a significant turn of events as T Lakshmi Reddy, a woman who had been accusing Jana Sena leader Kiran Royal of defrauding her of 1.2 crore, was arrested by Rajasthan police. The arrest occurred after an investigation into a cryptocurrency scam that dates back to 2021.

A team of female officers from Jaipur arrived in Tirupati to take Reddy into custody. She was subsequently transferred to the SV University police station in Tirupati for processing. Local authorities were notified, and arrangements were made to move her to Jaipur, with the necessary transit warrant in place.

According to an SVU inspector who spoke to TOI, the case stems from a cryptocurrency fraud registered by Jaipur police in 2021. In this case, four out of five accused individuals were arrested for allegedly deceiving several victims with fraudulent cryptocurrency investments. Lakshmi Reddy was identified as the fifth person involved in the scam.
