An Orlando woman now faces second-degree murder charges following a road rage shooting that left one man dead along Colonial Drive in December, according to a release from the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

On Tuesday, an Orange County Grand Jury formally indicted Tina Allgeo, 47, for the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Mihail Tsvetkov on December 2. Allgeo was also charged earlier this month with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident.

Initially, police described the shooting as stemming from “driver hostility between two vehicles,” which resulted in Tsvetkov’s death. Investigators detained Allgeo before securing the crime scene, and Tsvetkov was later pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.

Witnesses reported the shocking scene, with one calling 911 to report a man shot in the face, while Allgeo, later identified as the shooter, remained at the scene. Witnesses also stated that Tsvetkov had started attacking Allgeo after a collision, which prompted her to fire at him.

A witness later explained that Allgeo mentioned the incident to her, claiming Tsvetkov had been tailgating her earlier in the encounter. Investigators were able to obtain red-light camera footage that showed Tsvetkov opening Allgeo’s car door before the shooting occurred.

Over a week later, Allgeo’s attorney provided a statement, which described how she confronted Tsvetkov about tailgating her. The statement claims Tsvetkov bumped her vehicle, which led her to follow him while calling 911. According to Allgeo, she accidentally hit Tsvetkov’s car while trying to get his license plate number, which caused him to exit his vehicle and attack her.

Initially charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, Allgeo was not initially charged with Tsvetkov’s death. The recent second-degree murder charge stems from further investigation, though the exact details behind this new charge remain unclear.

State Attorney Monique Worrell emphasized the significance of this case, stating that gun violence from senseless disputes will not be tolerated, and those responsible will be held accountable.

Allgeo was booked into the Orange County Jail on Wednesday with no bond.
