A Bucks County piano instructor has been charged with sexually assaulting four young male students during lessons held more than two decades ago.
Timothy James Shay, 49, of Plumstead Township, was arraigned on February 14, 2025, on four counts each of indecent assault of a person under 13 and corruption of minors. The charges stem from alleged inappropriate conduct involving massages given to the victims during their piano sessions.
Magisterial District Judge John T. Galloway ordered Shay held at Bucks County Correctional Facility on $1 million bail, with 10 percent required for release.
According to investigators, the incidents occurred over 20 years ago, but only recently came to light. Authorities believe additional victims may exist and are encouraging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Middletown Township Detective John Beck at (215) 750-3872.
