Timothy Lange Arrested for Wilbraham Murder and Kidnapping

Lange faces charges of felony murder and kidnapping

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A suspect from New Britain, Connecticut, has been arrested in connection with the 2021 kidnapping, robbery, and murder of Jason Comes, a 38-year-old Wilbraham resident.

The incident took place on August 5, 2021, when a body with a gunshot wound was discovered in a vehicle parked in a wooded area off Durkee Road in Somers, Connecticut. The victim was later identified as Jason Comes. The state’s chief medical examiner ruled the death a homicide.

A lengthy investigation by Connecticut State Police, assisted by Homeland Security and local police departments, led to the identification of 35-year-old Timothy Lange as the primary suspect. Lange is known to be a member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Gang.

At approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Lange was arrested in Haddam by members of the Eastern District Major Crimes Detectives, the Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East, and Connecticut State Police.

Lange has been charged with the following crimes:

Felony Murder
Kidnapping First Degree
Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping First Degree
Accessory to Kidnapping First Degree
Robbery First Degree
Conspiracy to Commit Robbery First Degree
Lange is currently being held on a $1,500,000 bond. The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover further details surrounding the crime.
