SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Timothy Floyd Farmer, 34, was arrested in connection with a home robbery that occurred Wednesday morning, according to Sioux Falls Police.
The incident took place at approximately 6:41 a.m. in a residence on the 1300 block of South Riverdale Road. A man and woman living there reported that a suspect entered their home through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the residents and demanded their vehicle keys and cell phones.
The suspect then fled the scene, stealing a 2022 Jeep Cherokee belonging to the victims. Neither victim was physically harmed.
Police located the stolen vehicle on the 2400 block of West 26th Street around 9:08 a.m. Nearby, officers found Farmer and took him into custody without incident.
Farmer is currently held at Minnehaha County Jail, facing charges including robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and outstanding warrants.
Authorities noted that Farmer was arrested last month for petty theft and has a suspended seven-year sentence for burglary.
