Lori Peavy Faces Extradition to Georgia After Arrest

Aberdeen woman apprehended for parole violation and felonies

The Aberdeen Police Department announced that 48-year-old Lori Peavy is facing extradition to Georgia after being apprehended at a hotel in Southern Pines.

Peavy is currently held at the Moore County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond as she awaits extradition to Habersham County, Georgia.

“On October 18, 2024, Aberdeen Officers located an outstanding warrant for Peavy for a parole violation with full extradition out of Georgia,” said Aberdeen Police Chief Brian Chavis in a press release. “Aberdeen Officers made immediate attempts to locate her in and around Aberdeen. Officers were able to obtain information that Peavy was staying at a hotel in Southern Pines, in the area of US 1 and Pinehurst Ave.”

Aberdeen officers successfully located Peavy and took her into custody, serving her with an outstanding parole violation warrant. She faces serious charges, including felony robbery, felony aggravated assault, felony exploitation of elders, and giving a false name/address/date of birth to law enforcement officers.

Details about the specific crimes she is accused of have not been released.
