ROCKLAND, Maine (WGME) – A routine traffic stop in Rockland on Tuesday led to the arrest of a South Thomaston man on gun and drug charges.
Police stopped the vehicle for moving violations and discovered that the driver, 24-year-old Timothy Chickering, was operating the car with a suspended license. Officers observed Chickering attempting to hide drug paraphernalia, and a firearm was also found in his possession.
Authorities reported that drugs were located in the vehicle during the stop.
Chickering was arrested and charged with possession of scheduled drugs, illegal possession of a firearm by a user of controlled substances, and additional traffic violations.
