CALLAO, Mo. — Two northeast Missouri residents are behind bars after a search warrant execution led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia earlier this month.
Timothy Bricker, 41, and Jamie Bessell, 50, both of Callao, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, both felony offenses.
Bricker also faces an active felony warrant from Calhoun County, Illinois, for violating a court order, while Bessell was additionally charged with hindering the prosecution of a felony.
The charges stem from a September 5 search warrant served around 7:45 a.m. at a Callao residence. The operation involved the North Missouri Drug Task Force, with assistance from multiple agencies including the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Macon Police, Brookfield Police, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Authorities reported seizing about nine grams of suspected methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia from the home.
Bricker has a prior criminal record that includes convictions for resisting police, drug manufacturing, and domestic assault.
Both suspects remain in custody at the Macon County Jail on $15,000 bond each, pending bond hearings scheduled for Thursday.
