Tikri Police Arrest Naveel Akram with 6.19g Heroin

Driver caught with heroin during routine check near Udhampur

A drug peddler was arrested today in the Tikri area with 6.19 grams of heroin in his possession.

During a routine check, the police team of PP Tikri intercepted an electric auto bearing registration number JK14K-6853, traveling from Jammu towards Udhampur. Upon conducting a personal search, officers recovered 6.19 grams of heroin from the driver, identified as Naveel Akram, son of Akram Mir, a resident of Dhanoo, Udhampur.

Following the seizure, Naveel Akram was arrested, and both the heroin and the electric auto were confiscated.

An FIR (number 146/2025) under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal, and an investigation is currently underway.
