Three teenagers have been charged with the murder of 17-year-old Thomas Taylor, who was fatally stabbed in Greenhill Street, Bedford, on January 8, 2025.
The incident took place at approximately 5:50 PM, leading to a tragic loss for Thomas Taylor’s family. Ahmed Adam, 18, of Mardale Close, Kempston, and two other males, aged 16 and 17, whose identities cannot be disclosed due to legal restrictions, were arrested on January 10, 2025. The three suspects were subsequently charged with murder on January 11 and remanded into custody pending a court hearing.
Detectives investigating the case made further arrests over the weekend, taking another 16-year-old and an 18-year-old male into custody for questioning. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old male was also arrested but has been released on bail as inquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Richard Stott from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit expressed his thoughts with the family and friends of the victim, stating, “Our thoughts remain very much with Thomas’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. We understand this was a shocking incident, and we want to reassure the local community that we are working tirelessly on this case.”
