Three More Arrested in Theft at Former Minister Bala Bachchan’s House

Police recover gold, cash, pistols, and other tools from the accused

The Barwani police arrested three more individuals on Thursday in connection with the theft at the house of former Home Minister and MLA from Rajpur, Bala Bachchan. With these new arrests, the total number of individuals apprehended in the case has now reached six.

Barwani Superintendent of Police, Jagdish Dabar, identified the new suspects as Raju alias Raj Muvel and Santosh Muvel, both residents of Umarban in Dhar district, and Pintu Rathore from Rangaon Deb in Barwani. Police recovered gold jewellery, Rs 1 lakh in cash, two pistols, a cutter, and various tools used in the theft from the arrested individuals.

The SP confirmed that the stolen jewellery was fully recovered, along with three-fourths of the cash. However, the remaining cash had already been spent by the accused. The theft occurred at the vacant residence of Bala Bachchan in Kansel, Rajpur sub-division.

Earlier, the prime accused in the case, Uday Singh alias Goldy from Segaon (Barwani), along with Manju Bai Dangar and Sanjay Malvi from Ujjain, had already been arrested. The police continue to investigate the case, which involves a well-coordinated theft operation targeting the former minister’s home.
