In a significant development, Vidyanagar Police arrested three more individuals in connection with the brutal murder of a 24-year-old youth, Akash Parashuram Valmiki, at a bar in Lanjaraj Nagar last week. The arrested suspects are Shivaraj Nityanand Mishrikoti, Rohan Raju Bilagi, and Vinayak Dundesh Kuppasgoudra, all residents of Anand Nagar, Hubballi. They have been remanded in judicial custody.

The murder occurred on the night of January 28, when Akash was killed at the parking lot of Golden Heights Bar located on Lingaraj Nagar Road under Vidyanagar police limits. The police previously arrested three other individuals—Abhishek Shirur, Yallappa Koti, and Vinod Ambiger—who were detained after allegedly attempting to escape. The police shot them in the legs and admitted them to KMC RI Hospital for treatment.

The murder was reportedly the culmination of a series of ongoing clashes between two rival groups. Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar confirmed that the incident was a result of escalating tensions between the groups.

Vidyanagar police continue to investigate the case and have taken swift action to apprehend the suspects involved in this gruesome crime.
