Three Men Jailed for 37 Burglaries and Vehicle Thefts in Yorkshire

Lakin, Dale, and Wall Sentenced After Major Police Investigation

by Amelia Crawford

Three men have been jailed for a string of burglaries and vehicle thefts across West and South Yorkshire.

Stevie Lakin, 20, of South Elmsall; Declan Dale, 22, of South Kirkby; and Mason Wall, 18, of Wragby, all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary, multiple burglary attempts, and vehicle theft. Their crimes spanned Pontefract, Upton, Wakefield, Barnsley, and other areas between November 2023 and August 2024.

The trio was arrested on August 8, 2024, after police traced a stolen tablet to a South Kirkby address, where they were found with the device and other stolen goods.

At Leeds Crown Court on March 6, 2025, Lakin received nine years and six months, Dale was sentenced to two years and eight months, and Wall was sentenced to three years and four months.

Detective Sergeant Lewis Hibbert of the Wakefield District Crime Team emphasized the scale of their crimes and the relief their sentencing brings to the community. Investigators uncovered evidence on their phones showing them committing burglaries and joyriding in stolen vehicles.

Police are now seeking information on two unidentified individuals seen in the gang’s footage, one of whom is referred to as “Barlow.” Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
