A human trafficking operation in Longmont led to the arrest of three men accused of attempting to exploit minors for sexual servitude, the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office announced on Monday. The operation took place on Thursday and Friday, focused on identifying individuals involved in the solicitation of minors for sex.
The sting, carried out by the District Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Unit, occurred at a local hotel. The operation aimed to uncover adults responding to commercial sex advertisements linked to illegal activities involving minor children.
Jesse Spink, 35, Diego Lopez-Jiminez, 28, and Christian Quinones, 36, were arrested after they arrived at the hotel and solicited sex with a minor. They each face serious charges, including criminal attempt to commit human trafficking of a minor for sexual servitude (a Class 3 felony) and criminal attempt to commit sexual assault on a child (a Class 5 felony).
The operation was a collaborative effort involving Homeland Security, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Longmont Police Department, Aurora Police Department, and the Boulder County Computer Forensics Lab.
“This operation sends a clear message — human trafficking has no place in our communities, and we will relentlessly pursue those who seek to exploit others,” said Steve Cagen, special agent in charge for Homeland Security Investigations Denver.
The Boulder County District Attorney’s Office is continuing its investigation and is seeking additional victims and witnesses. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact District Attorney Senior Investigator Edna Munoz at 303-441-1355 or Senior Investigator Adam String at 303-441-3687.
