Three Men Arrested in Gadsden County for Drug and Firearm Offenses

Arrests follow multi-jurisdictional investigation during spring break

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – Three men are now in custody following a multi-jurisdictional investigation focused on wanted individuals, drugs, and firearms in Gadsden County during the spring break period. The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) reported the arrests in a recent press release.

Dontavious Jackson, Troy Ellis, and Roderick Washington were taken into custody in connection with the investigation.

Jackson faces several charges, including:

Possession of cocaine

Felony possession of marijuana with intent to sell

Possession of cocaine with intent to sell

Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

Ellis has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Washington faces charges of possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence.

The arrests were made as part of a broader task force operation targeting drug trafficking, gang activity, violent criminals, and weapons violations. According to the GCSO, the investigations were aimed at reducing crime and improving public safety during the busy spring break period.

The sheriff’s office has pledged to continue its efforts in combatting illegal drug activity and firearm offenses in the county.
