WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. — Three men have been arrested in connection with a multi-county property theft investigation, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).
Deputies began investigating on Jan. 7 after receiving tips about possible stolen property at a home in Chipley. A search warrant was executed on Jan. 8, during which officers recovered multiple stolen items from Holmes, Bay, and Washington counties.
Recovered property included a 2017 Can-Am Maverick reported stolen in Chipley, a Kubota tractor, a .22-caliber rifle reported stolen from Bay County, and approximately $25,000 worth of gold jewelry. The jewelry was later recovered from a local pawn shop with assistance from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities charged Gregory Michael Singletary with two counts of dealing in stolen property. Joseph Stafford faces two counts of dealing in stolen property and two counts of grand theft. Stephen James Dakota Finch was charged with grand theft over $20,000 and dealing in stolen property.
The case remains under active investigation, and authorities encourage anyone with additional information to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
