TITUS COUNTY, Texas — Three men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a 16-foot car hauler trailer reported stolen last month, according to the Titus County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials received a report on Feb. 24 that the trailer had been stolen from the 100 block of County Road 2352.

Investigators identified two suspects, Brian Dale Jones, 35, and Tommy Gene Dyke, 49, while the third suspect, Joseph Elswick, 44, had already been in custody on an unrelated felony warrant.

All three men are charged with theft of property valued up to $30,000 and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Authorities reported that the stolen trailer was recovered Thursday morning.
