On Wednesday night, three men from Indiana were arrested following a traffic stop on I-65 South in Priceville, Alabama. Officers initiated contact with the vehicle’s occupants and, based on several suspicious indicators, suspected criminal activity.
One of the individuals, 35-year-old William Ellis from Indianapolis, had an active felony warrant from Illinois for firearm possession. After his detention, a Priceville Police K-9 alerted authorities to narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered methamphetamine, a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
Ellis, along with two other passengers, 42-year-old Jason Marcum of Shelbyville and 60-year-old Roger Weaver of Indianapolis, was arrested. During the booking process, Marcum was found with additional concealed drug paraphernalia.

Ellis is being held on a $470,000 bond with a hold for Illinois authorities.

Weaver remains in the Morgan County Jail on a $465,000 bond.

Marcum is also held in the Morgan County Jail, with a bond set at $405,000.
