Three Indiana Men Arrested on Drug Charges in Priceville

William Ellis, Jason Marcum, and Roger Weaver face multiple charges

On Wednesday night, three men from Indiana were arrested following a traffic stop on I-65 South in Priceville, Alabama. Officers initiated contact with the vehicle’s occupants and, based on several suspicious indicators, suspected criminal activity.

One of the individuals, 35-year-old William Ellis from Indianapolis, had an active felony warrant from Illinois for firearm possession. After his detention, a Priceville Police K-9 alerted authorities to narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered methamphetamine, a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

Ellis, along with two other passengers, 42-year-old Jason Marcum of Shelbyville and 60-year-old Roger Weaver of Indianapolis, was arrested. During the booking process, Marcum was found with additional concealed drug paraphernalia.

Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Possession of Brass Knuckles

Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Ellis is being held on a $470,000 bond with a hold for Illinois authorities.

Charges for Roger Weaver:

Drug Trafficking

Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute

Two Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance

Tampering with Physical Evidence

Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Weaver remains in the Morgan County Jail on a $465,000 bond.

Drug Trafficking

Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute

Two Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance

Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Promoting Prison Contraband – 2nd Degree

Marcum is also held in the Morgan County Jail, with a bond set at $405,000.

These arrests highlight the continued vigilance of Priceville authorities in combating drug trafficking and related criminal activities.
