Three Former Watchmen Arrested for Stealing Jewelry Worth Rs10 Lakh in Jubilee Hills

Accused Stole Gold, Silver, and Diamond Ornaments for Home Renovation Plans

In a significant development, the Jubilee Hills Police have arrested three former watchmen involved in the theft of gold, silver, and diamond ornaments worth Rs10 lakh. The incident took place on July 18 from a residence in Jubilee Hills, a posh locality in Hyderabad.

The accused individuals, identified as Revu Suresh (30), Aviti Palla Rao (52), and Touti Subba Rao (38), were employed as security personnel at the residence and used their trusted position to commit the crime. According to police reports, the three had planned the theft with the motive of raising money for home renovations in their native villages in East Godavari district.

The theft was discovered when the house owner noticed the absence of several valuable items, including gold, silver, and diamond jewelry. The police, after receiving a complaint, initiated an investigation and successfully apprehended the three suspects. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime, admitting that they had stolen the ornaments with the intent to use the money for renovations.

The Jubilee Hills Police have registered a case under relevant sections of theft and criminal breach of trust. The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are working to recover the stolen property.
