ATLANTA — Three men have been convicted for their roles in a Fulton County drug trafficking operation, federal prosecutors said.
Kory Keon Solomon, 40, Antonio Pierre Ashmeade, 42, and Rodrigus Dartez Williams, 39, were all found guilty of federal drug charges over the past month. The operation was based in Ellenwood, Georgia.
Solomon was convicted on Jan. 8 of conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, while Ashmeade and Williams were convicted on Dec. 17 of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Federal authorities say Ashmeade and Williams are members of the “Paper Gang Family” (PGF), a rap music label whose members were previously linked to narcotics distribution in metro-Atlanta during a 2019 DEA investigation. Prosecutors noted that the group frequently conducted drug deals near school bus routes, putting children at risk.
U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg stated, “These defendants set up their drug operation in metro-Atlanta, blatantly peddling their poison around students’ bus stops.”
Federal agents documented several deals during the investigation, including:
July–August 2021: Williams sold methamphetamine in Ellenwood and posted videos flaunting cash.
Feb. 2022: Solomon met with a known trafficker, later traveling to a gas station where he collected suspected narcotics. Police intercepted him on I-75 and recovered two kilograms of cocaine and a 9mm handgun.
April 2023: Ashmeade sold methamphetamine in southeast Atlanta. A customer fled a traffic stop, discarding the drugs, which authorities recovered.
Ashmeade and Williams face a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison, with the potential for a life sentence, while Solomon faces five to 40 years. Sentencing dates have not been set.
