Three Arrested in Washington County for Drug Violations

Arrests follow investigation into stolen vehicle incident

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals after an investigation linked them to a stolen vehicle, leading to multiple drug-related charges.

The stolen vehicle was located in the parking lot of the Washington County Family Court. Officers discovered Kiersten M. Hayes and Matthew T. Poulos inside the vehicle.

Hayes now faces charges including two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession in the fifth degree, criminal possession in the seventh degree, and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Kyle Mattison was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal possession in the seventh degree, and three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Poulos is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and seventh degrees, along with three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

While Mattison and Hayes were arraigned and released on their own recognizance, Poulos was held pending a future court appearance.
