Valley Head, Ala. — Three individuals were arrested Wednesday in Valley Head following a drug trafficking investigation, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Officers from the DeKalb County Narcotics Agents, Criminal Investigations Unit, DeKalb County Deputies, and Henagar Police executed a search warrant at a home on County Road 121.
During the search, law enforcement discovered 48 grams of methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia, leading to the arrest of:
Richard Dewayne Floyd, 43, of Valley Head, charged with trafficking in any illegal drug, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and two outstanding warrants for failure to appear.
Shelbie Morgan Scott, 30, of Pisgah, charged with trafficking in any illegal drug, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and loitering in a drug house.
Brandon Lamar Brownfield, 31, of Valley Head, charged with trafficking in any illegal drug, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and loitering in a drug house.
The arrests mark a significant step in DeKalb County’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and related crimes.
