Three Arrested in Thurston Gun Burglary Case

Stolen firearms, glassware recovered in Bath search

THURSTON, N.Y. — Three men have been arrested following a search warrant that led to the recovery of stolen firearms and glassware connected to a burglary investigation.

According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant on Sunday, March 1, at a home on Oldfield Court in Bath. The warrant stemmed from an investigation into a burglary and theft of guns in the town of Thurston.

During the search, authorities said they recovered five firearms and several pieces of stolen glassware. The glassware had previously been reported stolen to the New York State Police in a separate case.

The following individuals were arrested:

David W. Sullivan, 39, reported homeless, of Bath, charged with fourth-degree conspiracy, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Michael E. Ogden, 35, of Addison, charged with the same offenses as Sullivan.

Alec L. Bowen, 31, of Bath, charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Following arraignment, Sullivan and Bowen were remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $5,000 bail. Ogden was jailed without bail.
