On August 28, a robbery took place at the office of Ramnarayan Prasad, located near Gulzarbagh station turn in Patna’s Alamganj area, where ₹21 lakh in cash and 250 grams of gold were stolen.
Patna police confirmed the arrest of three suspects involved in the case, all of whom were living on rent in the Agamkuan area. A fourth accused, identified as Vikas, who is reportedly a relative of one of the arrested men, is currently absconding, and efforts to capture him are ongoing.

A bike and an e-rickshaw used in the robbery
A helmet and pillowcase used to transport the stolen goods
Silver jewellery
A cutter used to break open the office locks
According to Eastern SP Parichay Kumar, the group broke into the office by cutting the locks and stuffed the stolen cash and gold into a pillowcase. The gang was known for targeting locked offices and homes after conducting prior surveillance.

Due to the high-value financial activity involved, the Income Tax Department has been notified to probe for potential tax evasion or unaccounted income.
Investigations are ongoing to trace the remaining stolen gold and cash, and efforts are underway to track and arrest Vikas, the missing fourth accused.
