Three Arrested in Lincoln County for Meth Trafficking and Drug Charges

Narcotics operation leads to recovery of meth, cash, and weapons

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Three individuals were arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officers on Monday, October 27, following a narcotics investigation that led to the recovery of methamphetamine, cash, and weapons.

36-year-old Jim Xiong of Lincoln County, 37-year-old Shuelong Vang of Connelly Springs, and 37-year-old Sarah Lynn Madron of Lenoir face multiple drug-related charges. Xiong is charged with trafficking methamphetamine by possession and transport, possession with intent to sell and deliver meth, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, attempt to destroy evidence, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Vang faces similar trafficking and possession charges, along with failure to stop for blue lights and siren. Madron is charged with trafficking, possession with intent to sell, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrests followed a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit surveillance operation in western Lincoln County. Officers observed a vehicle leaving the location under investigation. During a traffic stop, individuals inside the vehicle reportedly threw narcotics from the car.

Officers recovered 15 grams of meth from the road and an additional 20 grams inside the vehicle, along with brass knuckles and $3,883 in cash.

All three suspects were placed in the Harven Crouse Detention Center. Xiong was held on a $500,000 secured bond, Vang on a $90,000 secured bond, and Madron on a $25,000 secured bond. Court dates were scheduled for Tuesday, October 28.
