Hillsboro, Ore. — Three people were arrested on Saturday as part of a retail theft operation involving several major stores in the area, according to the Hillsboro Police Department.
Alyssa Golob, 25, of Hillsboro, and David Ortega, 33, of Beaverton, were each charged with second-degree theft after stealing merchandise from Target, Home Depot, Burlington, and Fred Meyer stores. Jett Evans, 22, of North Plains, was charged with third-degree theft, identity theft, and possession of a controlled substance.
The arrests took place after a coordinated effort between law enforcement and store security teams. Police responded to reports of thefts at the four retail locations and were able to apprehend the suspects. The stolen goods were recovered, and further investigation is underway.
Evans is facing additional charges related to drug possession, while Golob and Ortega are being held on theft charges. All three suspects are expected to face court hearings in the coming weeks.
