Three Arrested in Greece, NY Stolen Vehicle Cases

Two suspects caught with Webster car, one with South Carolina vehicle

Greece, N.Y. — Police have arrested three suspects in two separate stolen vehicle investigations, including one involving a car stolen from South Carolina.

On Friday, authorities identified a stolen vehicle at The Mall at Greece Ridge using a license plate reader. The car was reported stolen out of Webster, New York. Police arrested Dayshaun Wilson, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile. Both face charges of criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Wilson also faces a charge of criminal trespass. Wilson was taken to Monroe County Jail for arraignment, while the juvenile was released with a court appearance ticket.

In a separate incident on Monday morning, police were alerted via license plate reader to a stolen car on West Ridge Road, reported stolen out of South Carolina. Matthew Ryan, 33, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation, and traffic violations. Ryan was transported to Monroe County Jail.
