Three Arrested in Ganemulla Sanjeewa’s Murder Case

Further Arrests Made as Investigation into Sanjeewa Murder Continues

The Colombo Crime Division (CCD) has arrested three suspects for aiding in the murder of underworld figure Ganemulla Sanjeewa, bringing the total arrests to eight.

On 23 May, police arrested three suspects from Gampaha and Udugampola. One suspect, a 22-year-old from Malwatte Road, Gampaha, was arrested for possessing the firearm used in the murder and providing it to the shooter.

A 25-year-old and a 19-year-old from Udugampola were arrested for helping by transporting the shooter and another suspect in a three-wheeler after the crime.

The investigation is ongoing.
