In a significant breakthrough, three men have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of an elderly couple on April 28, 2025, in Erode district. The police also confirmed that the suspects have admitted to their involvement in a triple murder case that occurred in Semalaigoundanpalayam, Tiruppur district, on November 28, 2024.
The three arrested men have been identified as:

N. Madeswaran (52)
R. Ramesh (54)
All three are residents of Arachalur in Erode district.
The suspects were arrested after a detailed investigation into the murder of an elderly couple and the theft of 10.75 sovereigns of gold jewellery from their residence. During interrogation, the men confessed to their involvement in the triple murder that occurred in Tiruppur district several months earlier. The CB-CID is investigating the triple murder case, which involved the deaths of three individuals in Semalaigoundanpalayam.
Police are continuing their investigation and are working to uncover further details of the crime spree, including the motives and connections between the two cases.
