Three people have been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery that targeted victims of a two-car crash in Burbank last weekend, authorities said.
Officers responded to the intersection of Third Street and Delaware Road around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, after reports of a crash, according to a news release from the Burbank Police Department. When officers arrived, the individuals involved in the collision told them they had just been robbed.
Investigators learned that the crash victims were approached by two male suspects who were not involved in the accident. The suspects allegedly engaged the victims in conversation before attempting to forcibly remove a gold necklace, leading to a physical struggle. The men reportedly stole the victims’ property and then fled in an SUV driven by a female accomplice.
On Wednesday, November 19, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies located the suspects’ vehicle after Burbank detectives identified the SUV using surveillance footage from the crash site. Deputies searched the SUV and found clothing, the stolen property from the Burbank robbery, and additional items believed to be stolen in other incidents.
The suspects were identified as Brenda Ramirez Ohlmann, 31, of Rhode Island, and Victor Gabriel Correa De Los Santos, 31, and Manuel Milciades Felipe Medina, 33, both from New York. All three were arrested and booked on robbery charges.
