Three men were arrested on Thursday in connection with an armed robbery at Bharat Finance Company in Jhunjhunu, while the alleged mastermind—Manthan, a former employee of the firm—remains on the run.
The robbery occurred on March 25, when three armed men entered the finance office, held an employee at gunpoint, and attempted to access the office safe. Failing to open it, they looted the employee’s gold chain and motorcycle before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, police led by Kotwali in-charge Harjinder Singh reviewed extensive CCTV footage which led investigators to Rawla in Sriganganagar. A series of raids resulted in the arrest of:
Amarsingh Jeet Singh
Mohammad Ali
Anil Vishnoi
During interrogation, the accused revealed that the entire heist was planned by Manthan, who had previously worked at the finance firm and knew its layout and operations in detail.
Amarsingh and Mohammad Ali, who executed the robbery, have been denied bail. Anil Vishnoi, who supplied the firearms, has also been taken into custody. Police have recovered the stolen motorcycle, and efforts are ongoing to trace the weapons and locate Manthan, who remains absconding.
Police teams are currently conducting search operations in multiple locations to capture the key conspirator.
