Three Arrested in Benton for Vehicle Theft

Theft from Auto Business Leads to Arrests of Cody Gough, Timothy Evans, and Kaleb Miller

Three suspects were arrested in Benton, Kentucky, on February 8, 2025, after being linked to a stolen vehicle reported missing between February 5-8, 2025, from an auto business on Main Street. Benton police responded to the theft report at 10:30 a.m. and entered the vehicle into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

Later that day, an employee spotted the stolen vehicle at an address near Jackson School Road and Oak Level Road. The vehicle was found parked behind a camper, partially covered by a tarp.

The suspects arrested were:

Cody Gough, 19: Charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a motor vehicle ($1,000-$10,000) and failure of a non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense).
Timothy Evans, 19: Charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a motor vehicle ($1,000-$10,000), failure of a non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense), second-degree criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kaleb Miller, 18: Charged with complicity to commit theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a motor vehicle ($1,000-$10,000).
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
